From the Idaho St. Savings

The family reports that these coins were kept together in a cigar box in the garage from approximately 1973 until they were brought to Pops Change Exchange. The original owner was not a formal numismatist but intentionally saved older silver coins and early American cents rather than spending them. The family has chosen to remain anonymous, and the collection is publicly identified as the Idaho St. Savings.

The collection’s history is based on the family’s recollections. No original inventory, receipts, acquisition records, or individual dates of purchase are known to survive. The beginning year of 1973 is approximate and corresponds with the family’s recollection of when the coins were already being kept at the residence.
